BUY/SELL section

Hi all, I would like to take this opportunity to highlight the behaviour that SOFTies should observe whilst browsing through the BUY/SELL section. I am not about to reveal the associated SOFTie because it introduces unnecessary flaming/trolls into this thread. So, no names will be mentioned to protect the identity of this, assumably young, punk.

Person ABC asked if item XYZ could be sold at price $$$.
After close to 1 hour or so of not replying, Person ABC hurled vulgarities at me claiming that he could have bought it if I had replied him and that he didn't want the item anymore.
Obviously I was busy doing something and even if I weren't busy, he should not have hurled vulgarities at me. I find the vulgarities very offensive and immature. When I tried to call him (twice), he didn't pick up. In the past, I had to wait almost a day for a seller to reply my text but I was fine with it.

There are more new and young people joining SOFT(especially those who joined in 2011) and these people need to understand that not all SOFTies are students. Some SOFTies are working and may not be available to reply during office hours.

He lowballed me by $20. I was actually agreeable to the deal but perhaps his temper got the better of him.

**** happens. Once this guy from a gaming forum wanted to buy my game, he asked me to reserve it for him, so I did. After 2 weeks, I texted him asking when he'd like to collect the game, he didn't message nor reply but yet he continue to post in the forum. I just decided to put the game up on sale again.

People exist, good, bad, ugly. I got people trying to sell me pickups in a rather offensive manner. So rude.

it's like that.. just take some time, try not to be affected, and continue to be positive :)

THERE ARE DIFFERENT WAYS TO BE BRAVE.....

Just to be clear, this is not a hate/flaming post. Think awareness. Hope I don't stir up any trolls (if you are a troll, this is not an open invitation)

just move on. in life we encounter with all sorts of people. I deal with such people every day. when you are in the customer service line, this kind of treatment should be expected. if you worry about all these little things, you will lose all your hair and why should you be doing that?

But technically speaking, hair loss is something genetics...*long pause*

Okay, off topic. My bad. But I agree, just ignore and move along. I've had my fair share of idiots, sellers and buyers. But there are good people, sometimes. Just that people who don't want to deal seriously will make a bad impression, just blacklist them.

M1 realise that after all the " Quality Customer Services Concept and Such - They Have forgotten that Staff Are Also Their Assets....So if you go down to any M1 Counter you will see an Interesting Signage in Front Of All It's Customer Service Desk.

The Point is - There are many Different Kinds Of Sellers and there are also Many Different Kinds Of Buyers here .... Both Party have to understand this ( be a little Patient, show some respect for each other ), but expect and be ready to meet the worst type of people and remember - All Buying and Selling is strictly between Buyer and Seller Own's Accountability here ( so take heed) as we only provide the Platform for you to trade....

Anyway it's coming 2012 ... Be Happy my dearest fellow Softies/ Bros / Sis .... and have a Great Year Ahead.

With Warmest Regards

Eric Wong
