building a guitar

hi,

for quite some time I had this idea in mind: build my own guitar.
the thing is: I don't have the space and the tools for that.

I wouldn't mind buying the raw materials though and learn from someone.
is there such a course in singapore or is it possible to find an association / youth center (even though I no longer am...) which has a room to work on wood??

the ideal would be to learn from someone though...

I would be interested in building either an electric or an acoustic gutiar (techniques are completely different though)
