I had a broken bone or two in my right wrist, which is my picking hand, and went under the knife to get it fixed and the broken bone(s) replaced. My arm is in a cast now so the problem is....

How do i play guitar with an arm cast on? Anyone had this experience before?
Need some tips on this. Thanxabunch in advance.

Don't play until you recover. Life is long enough for you to pick up the dexterity you lose while waiting for recovery, but if you aggravate it while it is healing, you may regret it.

Well, I broke my hand before. Not at the wrist but more like at the palm. And thx to that, my middle finger is about the same length as my ring finger. The doctor advised me to stop playing for a while till your wrist recovers. =) If you are really desperate about playing, the least you can do is to practice your left hand movement. Fretting different scales. Or read up on some theories? That's what I did.

tap your way to recovery!!!

haha i don't really know how to tap but i guess this is a good time to learn! haha!

I definitely don't wanna aggravate my injury and let my hand recover fully, but at the same time, it's hard to just see my guitar on its stand for the past 2 months or so.

You can just use your fretting hand to try to practice tapping, slowly. Or do form chords and etc. You can also spend some time reading on guitar theory and etc. When your hand recovers, apply what you learn! Yup! I don't have an injury but I had to bandage my hand because of some eczema issue and can't play properly so that was what I did. You can try it. All the best and speedy recovery!
