Bridge Problem

Hi guys,

I need some help. I discovered a dusty guitar bag in the storeroom and realised that it was actually a 1981 Dean model. It has a strat shape in sunburst, but the bridge looks horrendously beyond repair. I have sent it to Swee Lee and they told me there's totally no hope in repairing it, as the parts are difficult to get.

I asked if I were to change it to something else they again said that the cost will be too high.

I need your opinion on what I should do now.. since its a vintage I would very much love to know how it sounds like!

Hi, you can try for a 2nd opinion on other guitar repair shops, & if they say almost the same as the previous one, then it all ends up to you, if you're willing to spend money to revive it or just buy a new one.

if im not mistaken, 81dean bridge similar to gibson..
so if same still got hope, dont give up.. ask around fellow soft here

:)

Yea, will post pictures soon. It actually has a tremolo bridge system, so yeah, i would think it is hardly the same as a Gibson bridge. It would have been an awful waste to chuck this guitar away yea? I'm quite sure it would fetch quite a bit as I can't find this model around on any site!

yea dun waste it, looking forward to your pics
tremolo bridge.. fender..? the better.. more choices for parts!

:)
