Bridge pickup softer than neck pickup

hey, just got an Epi G400 a few days ago. apparently the bridge pickup is softer than the neck pickup. there was a huge difference in volume. the sustain on the bridge is lesser than on the neck. anyone can suggest a possible cause?

Check the pickup height of the bridge pickup, might be too low, if so, raise it up until the volume level is about the same as the neck pickup level.

Or it might be that the pickup height of the neck pickup is too high, if so lower it till same vol as bridge.

Is there tone loss in your bridge pickup, and when you switch pickups, is there a crackling sound before the volume drop? Could be a poor connection between the pickup and the selector switch.

it's most likely a wiring problem more than a pickup height problem. might be a faulty pot of the 3 way switch. either case, send it to a guitar shop for assessment and repair.
