Brands with no local distributor

is there any good instrument that you really want with no local distributor?
maybe we can help luther by introducing new brands.
there must be something that we badly want.

the last conversation i had with luther some years back, he mentioned something about focussing on bringing in entry level stuff, to cater to musicians on a budget. can see from his shop, no big flashy items with big price tags around. i wonder what he's intending to do now, moving into that peninsula region.

carvin is carried by ranking sports already right, i thought?

clavia is carried by daxco digital. they're still around, opening a showroom soon at peace centre/park lane/paradiz can't remember which one. i just received a call from their sales person. they're still around though the main showroom at kallang has closed.

market in singapore is kinda small for moog and novation though, i think. besides, there's software versions of their synths already.

haha. they should consider going down the computer software/hardware line. right now no one's bringing in edirol. i think.

as for basses..(sorry, don't know anything abt guitar).. let there be lakland skyline and MTD! and the Spirit and Toby stuff from musicyo..

Moogs retail prices go for SGD5000 for a Mini Moog reissue.

unless there are 10 buyers in Singapore willing to splurge on that, I dun think anyone will wanna bring that in. MrMisse, my buddy tot of bringing the synths in once... but tot the better of it.

Still we've got the pedals, MoogerFooger!!! Wooo hooo :D

If you like Virtual Analog, you should give the Alesis Ion or Micron a try.
They sound really good. The Micron gave me gear lust when I tried it. Strangely, the Moog Voyager did not move me when I played it.

I had a talk with Raymond of Esden Trading..As such I was told that he is the dealer of Mesa Boogie in Singapore. All orders to him are to be made in advance as he doesnt keep stock of items..he said can import in a week's time..

Sadly, this the way that some of the smaller companies manage inventory.
I don't blame them but it lowers the level of the service to the consumer.

Daxco and Ming Enterprise practice this. In the end, I either mail ordered or brought back the items I wanted by hand when I'm overseas.

any of u guys using or tried line6 products b4?

AHEAD drumsticks. these drumsticks are really kick ass and even though thye are quite costly, u always retain the same stick, only hving to change the tips and the upper part of the stick( watever its called). changing it costs about $10 for the covers ant tips, so technically they are cheaper. oh and each cover + tip lasts about 4 mths. they are also a lot louder than normal wooden sticks.oh and they look really good in all black with a white tip. im using a pair and it has lasted well over a year. i cudnt find any distibutor here so i have to order everything from australia. someone HAS to bring those sticks here.
