On a separate note, you can get a brand new Skyline 55-02 or Decade for less than this price too

Metros and NYCs have almost the same build quality and tone, according to the talkbass people. It's just a little heavier, and the metros have less options, and i can't remember the rest, but it's really similar. After all, it is inspected by the masters in NYC before being shipped out.

And another thing, you can't compare a Skyline 5502 and Decade with a Sadowsky. Two different worlds eh? Two very different basses with two very different tones.

I dunno man -- I had the chance to A/B a wall of Metro and NYC basses next to each other and I couldn't tell a difference. Maybe it was the whole new bass syndrome, but they were pretty damn close
