Any good ones,.. i usually use 10-46s ones standard looking for a 10-50, or sumthing around there, theres a DR 10-56 selling at davis, is it good? never tried DRs before, usually use dAddario.
Will getting those aforementioned strings, i need to re setup the whole guitar, like neck stiffness, etc? I wanna learn zakk wyldes riff, n he tunes the first string (bottom E) real low like A, but the rest is in normal standard tuning, using my 10-46 it gets reak flappy,..

look for those 7 strings pack, use the low B as the 6th string. As for whether is the string good, DR is a established brand, it should be ok. But whether do you feel comfortable playing with it, that's another thing.....

changing to heavier gauge string, it's not only adjusting the trussrod. There need to be adjustment done to the nut(wider slot), string saddle and such. End of it, you might not get a good intonation.......

anyway, look for a guitar tech to do all those if you are not comfortable doing it yourself, my 0.0002cent

Ernie Ball & ESP have hybrid sets, you should check them out. if your guitar neck warps after the re-string, do rectify it (truss rod adjustment) before it becomes permanent. do keep in mind that zakk sports a Les Paul, the neck has adequate strength to accomodate such tension. if you don't at least play an Epi LP, re-think your intention. 8)

Am using a gibson studio LP,.. yeah i think id try to get the hybrid sets, coz i prefer to be able to still bend well on the top strings,...

Try the GHS Zakk Wylde signature series.... it's 52 - 10 i tink... i tried it... d bass response is tight... but take not if u wanna use it for standard tuning.. might nid some set up....

Rock Onz!!

GHS has a set of .10 to .50 if i am not wrong. Was using that on my old LP Studio. Another one would be D'Addario. They have a .11 to .52.

If you're not playing lightning fast solos, the heavy strings will give you a good chunky rhythm tone. But, stay away from heavy strings if you do a lot of solos, or try to switch progressively, as string bendings on heavy strings are tough on our your left hand.
