haha that was what i got pretty upset about when i wanted to start guitar last year....when i asked my friends for some guitar guidebk, surprisingly everyone of them told me that they do not really depend on the books....maybe the internet will be more helpful =) you wanna try this link? http://worldguitar.com/ i think this is q helpful in learning cos you don't really have to read too much words like u do in bks =P if you don't have music background, rmb to check out the basics link first =)
i found another site thats not bad too. www.guitar.about.com for anyone interested. in fact when i went to populer yesterday i saw a book which was based on it. something like a compilation of the lessons on the website.
