Hi all,
Up for sale is a MINT, unscuffed, un velcroed and ungigged Bogner Burnley. All instructions and box intact.
Going for $290. Dont be mistaken. This does not give you a shredder's Bogner tone. I tried a Bogner ecstacy once and its nothing like it. This is closer to a hotrodded British tone. In fact, this is the ticket to the famous hot rodded and modded JCM800 tones that pretty much defined the 80s with thick and boosted upper mids. This was their definitive tone way before you know who switched to Carvin, Mesa Boogie and Randall amps.
Takes well to Fenders and Marshalls. Sounds killer whether through a clean channel or slightly dirty channel.
In today's context, the closest match would be a driven Marshall Silver Jubilee with a TS-808 boosting it. I have both a JCM800 2X12 combo and a Marshall Silver Jubilee 2554 so the AB test was genuine.
The Rupert Neve transformer gives it a very thick and smooth "mastered" sound.
Thanks.
Regards,
