Awakening
Silence does not mean consent. It merely means the battering of the human mind into soulless submission, the utter lack of the will to power. We have had progress, we have had our prosperity, but at what cost? Do we now dare not to dream? Do we now dare not to follow our hearts? Do we shun all that is new and unfamiliar, to only obediently partake the disgorged products of the capitalist machine?
Our senses have been dulled, our retinas have been dimmed, to a stage where we only embrace the cursed instrument of capitalism – commercialism. We have been degenerated with conformity, to aid in our subjugation, to allow us to be herded and manipulated, to keep us from understanding the truth. Our free will is being consumed, like firewood, to fuel the steel pistons of the so-called free enterprise.
Our world is the result of a vision that has gone very wrong. The ideal that was borne out of good faith has been warped and mutated. We have spawned an unstoppable power that will eventually consume us all. Do not get us wrong, we are not proponents of Communism. The free market and enterprise have allowed us to progress, to improve. But it seems that at our present stage, it only seeks to benefit the glitterati of our society, and us, the common people have been jealously excluded from it by them.
Our eyes have been blinded, our minds have been diluted, and our voices have been muted by commercialism.
We seek to find our common brethren who feel that something is not quite right with our current existence. We seek to quell this disease of conformity, this vile cloud of nihilism that looms over us all.
