Black Metal blacklisted in Malaysia

it makes totally no sense la. the drug issue I need not comment. But blacklisting black metal... I mean. Whats up? If they conduct their activities behind closed doors , out of reach to the public, who cares?

wow

i just heard from my malaysian friend that As-Sahar guy is charged with drug taking and has beens entenced in their courts..don know other details....damn....!!!! how come malaysian authority suddenly raid a metal gig???

Re: wow

I had a nagging suspicion that the first guy charged in the article was him.
If it is true then it's too bad. Ever since news got around in the press that Mayhem was going to do a gig in Malaysia soon, the authorities have suddenly step up their 'vigillance'. Typical.

wow

i read from blabbermouth news also that Mayhem gig in Malaysia has been cancelled.....i hope this does not grow to a band in emtal events there...
i was expecting testament to come there too. and suffocation.

they deserve it.

these are the very scums who hamper the development of music. hope more of them get caught, Singaporeans or otherwise.

black metal is blacklisted across the causeway even before this event. prior to this, it was attributable to the senseless acts of the locals who unprofessionally manifest a domestic version of anti-religious acts (after reading what went on in the nordic region) & majority of them were juveniles. it came to a point that certain CDs of death/ black metal origin had to be sold under the table (literally) as they were under the watchful eye of the authorities.

did satan ever advocate consuming drugs in a gig/ concert?

this is bad news indeed. i have nothing against M'sians, but if they come here instead to watch the show & it reduces our chances of getting tickets, then it'll be personal... :x

Actually sub, I would have said it another way but then I'd have malaysians after my pelt with blunt kitchen knives.

I seriously don't see what gives them the liberty to openly reveal these 3 guys addresses on the web in the manner. That's just rude.

futureless or otherwise, it's my brand of music (it's many people's too) & having drug faggots making it less accessible bothers me.

Reiteration: i've nothing against the Malaysian chaps, in fact, the culprits are Singaporeans, the very country where education is compulsory & your parents might be jailed if you are absent from school, & we have morons doing drugs across the causeway oblivious to the fact that getting caught remains a possibility.

the news there was weird... i know from the news that 30 ppl were guilty of taking drugs... but the way it was written makes it seemed like only the 3 singaporeans were gonna get charge while the rest were released..

Thirty of those detained, including three from Singapore, tested positive for drug use.

Three youths were referred to the State Religious Affairs Department for counselling while the others were released after their statements were taken.

Well smack my ass and call me Jodie!
This case made it to the front page of the malay newspaper Berita Harian today.
Viva la Black Metal!

Why they tell the address? That's weird ... Anyway i dont really care much for black metal, dont really care bout this piece of news ... malaysia has laws too you know ...
