i think 24 or 26"
cant remember...

if i'm not wrong bonzo usues a big one too ryte?

stanton moore uses a 26"x12"

http://www.drummerworld.com/drummers/Stanton_Moore.html

anyway naz, i think if the BD is bigger than 22", it's either custom-made or converted from a marching bass drum.

and yeah RD, big BDs are very deep and boomy! i love the 26" on stanton moore's Sprung Monkey.

the two i posted are just two of the many that are available on ebay. the 36" would be pretty darn awesome lol! shipping them here would kill though.

Bill Ward from Black Sabbath uses 2 14"x26" Bass Drums. Portnoy's Albino Monster also has a 14"x26" Bass drum on his single bass drum side of the kit.

Bonzo has a 26" x 14". his whole kit is huge..

14" 16" 18" toms.

and 15" soundedge hats...

really a big drum lover..

his idea from that of the big band era..buddy Rich plays 26" too. and i think carmine appice as well.. a fren of bonzo.

nv seen one in singapore yet. anyone has a 26" x 14" at home ? =D

mike pornoy uses 22 on his BD.. and single uses 26 (during the budokan DVD) as he follows bonzo..
but now he said he changed to a more conventional size BD.. shud be 20

and jeepers... if i'm not wrong there's a difference of sound if between normal BD and marching
marching are more boomy... i think

BOOOM BOOOOOM BOOOOOM!
