Best places to buy amps?

Hi guys, I want to buy a new amp soon and was wondering where were the best places/shops to buy amps from in Singapore. I need an amp with high gain as i will be playing metal. I am currently considering the blackstar ht5 and maybe the jet city 22h or 50h. I am trying to keep my budget under $1000

Can anyone recommend me some shops and some amps i should look out for? and to jetcity 22h owners out there, would the jet city 22h have enough gain for metal?

sounds like you'd do better to get the amp of your spec than looking for 'good' shops selling whatever amps they have

Get the jet city and boost it with a pedal. I think Davis sells the combo @ 600+ ?

Hmm, that's for the 22 watt combo? I was looking at youtube clips and was wondering whether i should get the 50 watt head + cab instead but i guess that would probably cost me over $1k... Would the jca22 combo, boosted, be able to enter the br00talz territory?

I am a pro Laney fan. They have super high gain and IMO the best amp drive tone. I think Laney is only sold at not to "Swee" Lee.

Wow the demos on youtube sound pretty good. How much does the GH50L cost?

And can anyone recommend me any decent cheap 2X12 cab to use? I'm trying to get a head+cab instead of a combo so that i can switch heads with ease in the future if i want to.

EDIT: just realised the gh50l would cost me over 1k. what laney amps do you recommend?

if you are not pedal-reliant, Ironheart is highly recommended. it has that wattage variant feature so you need not give everyone else earache if you need volume saturation:

The watts knob is really really good I agree...

Great thing about the ironheart is that it's really affordable for a really good sounding amp.

people tend to equate high prices with high quality (tone) but that's not exclusive any more...

For a cab, the ironheart 212 is affordable as well. Maybe after awhile then you can experiment with diff speakers too

How much does it cost? for both the head and cab and combo. Prices online all seem to exceed my budget although i really want one. Especially with the variable wattage!

Try asking Ebenex, they've got good prices. The last time I saw at Ebenex was $800+ for the 212 combo. Have never seen them at Yamaha prolly cause its always sold out...

Whoa! That looks freaking cool man! The prices stated on the ebenex website is $935. I think i would consider their used 5150 combo that is cheaper as well if i were to get a combo. But the ironheart has that variable wattage feature! damn!

By the way, i was down at davis yesterday and they quoted me 550 for their jet city 50w head but they said it was only 1 channel! Since when did jet city have a 50w single channel head?
