hi,im a guitarist but i feel like wanting to try drumming...
so,is it worth it if i buy my own drumset to begin??

i have a bass and an electric guitar...so if i buy a drumset...
is it enough for my band to start jammin at my place rite??

so there no need to go to jammin studio to waste money..don't you guys agree??

yeah! but it depends on how big your room is and the acoustics and all. It's always good to have a drumset as a guitarist though, you will understand what kind of difficulties your drummer faces hahaha...

yeah my band comes to my place to jam as well. it's pretty convenient plus there's no time constraints so we can just do everything at our own pace, and use the comp in my room to work out the nitty gritty details of our songs.

but of course there are all the considerations e.g. irritable neighbours, resting grandparents etc.

And depending on how much you're willing to invest in your home studio, we always find jamming in an actual studio a better final preparation for a gig cos of the better acoustics and stuff. what we do is practice at my place, then a day or two before our gig we'd go for a final run-through at a studio. Then on the day of the gig, come to my place again for a warm-up before gigging.

works for me, but it's always subjective. if your bandmates live far from you they might not like the idea of having to travel all the way to your place to jam. fuel/taxi costs so ex nowadays it might turn out to be more ex than just spending on the jamming studio.

have fun planning your new home studio!
