Beginner acoustic guitar. Takamine or J&D?

Hi guys, decided to pick up guitar and I was thinking of getting either Takamine or J&D. I was at Penni today and went to Davis to try a Takamine G440C, I like it but I heard that low end Takamine is not good. I went to the shop opposite Guitar Connection and tried a J&D. model is 610? If i'm not wrong.

So my budget is about $300, which one should I get? Or what other brands and models will you guys recommend? Would love to hear from you guys! Thanks alot!

I've never really tried the Takamine one but the J&D's pretty good for the price. But IMO the most worth will be the Custom Acoustic guitars from City music. Do check them out!

G77 has some very good acoustics. Check out this brand called Celtone. you won't regret. the specs are good.
