Sudden impulse on writting something, yesterday afternoon decided to go for my usual evening run after lessons.. Putting on my PT kit.. i realise how low the air tempearture was and well as being windy.. really nice nice weather... Sky was 50% clouded and the setting sun casted an orange glow over the neighbourhood.. The clouds formed nice patterns like small fluffy popcorns ... Walking out of the house, I could feel the cool breeze on my skin.. Ahh..relaxing after a day's work!
Running to the park for stretching, I saw several groups of boys playing basketball jubilantly.Ah the days when i was doing that, over 10 years ago..nostalgic... The quiet neighnourhood was filled with soft sounds, of maids calling children back home, of birds chirping, of the quiet hum of a vehicle occasionally passing by, an old man brisk walking seriously , a caucasian couple taking their huge shepherd for a walk...The leaves of the huge trees swaying gently in the wind.. The moment was pictureques and serene..
About to start the run. 3,2,1, Go!
My first leg, going through the japanese school and Qifa primary..
"Marilah Kita Bersatu..." Oh , its school dismissal! Kids lining up and playfully making fun of their friends.. I can hear this teacher shout over the PA ' Boys at the back, stand still!' I can see the smile on their faces. Their happy, carefree, innocent expressions like baby angels that have descended on earth. I see parents waiting outside the school gate, some waiting anxiously, some happily chatting with others..
Wow, I have been living in this neighbourhood for more than 10 years and i haven seen all these? Or had i just took them for granted?
Than i thought, what if, suddenly a whole neighbourhood is wiped out by a hurricane?
Just giving a thought. Singaporeans are lucky. Damn lucky bunch of people. Just for anyone who feels miserable because he failed his 'O's, or got dumped by his girlfriend, or lost his pet dog. And u get depressed and feel you are the most sucky person and the ultimate failure of this world. Yes we must have felt something like that in some point of our lives.
Come on get out of it. There are people a milllion times worse then us. You know it.
come on and tell me about your beautiful views in singapore !
