I just want to advice you all about a shop called ***ing Sp***s in Bras Basah.

Yes yes the girl there is pretty, the old auntie is very kind. BUT......

Try and get a paper stating the warranty of things you buy there.

I bought 2 guitar amps and a bass amp there last year. I asked them what was the warranty on that. They said a year and I requested for a B and W, they said no need I have their word on it.

And oh well the bass amp decided to take a vacation 8 months into employment and so I thought hey its still under warranty no worries.

HELL NO!!!! one of the staff told me : " NO lah cannot be, we only give max 6 months warranty, you give me the recerpt number I go and check" This was in Feb. Now its May, called them 3 times already, still like that.

Lesson learnt is, when pretty girl smile at you, dont be distracted. When pretty girl smile at you and say dont have black and white, dont act cool and say alright its cool, I trust you. When pretty girl smile at you and say why dont you get some more stuff, dont smile back and actually buy something more *(eg double pedal). When pretty girl smile at you, make sure you get her number......

hmmm... Darren, what make and model are you talking about for that bass amp? 12-month warranty is like a norm, but 6-month sounds unusual (but still possible). Perhaps you can check with the manufacturer, email them, you'll never know they may be able to help you. :wink:

I'm surprised to hear such experience with this shop... :?

Even a verbal agreement can be legally binding. Go down, talk to them, if they still don't want to budge, inform them that you would ask CASE to investigate.

Brand is Smarvo. Manufacturer? Fwah....that would be kinda difficult boy. Will try though..thanks anyways....but no a year warranty is not normal. Davis also gives 6 months for its marshalls.....and yes it did die exactly after 6 months...repairs 400 plus.
