Battery leak in pedal

Hi!

My Zakk Wylde Overdrive is spoilt coz I left a battery inside for a few months when I was not using it. I totally for got to remove it!

When I took to use again, it makes a loud humming sound even when it is disengaged. Upon inspection I realized that the battery had leaked

Is it possible to repair this kinda thing or gone case already?

it can be as simple as changing a battery clip all the way to a totally screwed pedal. bring it down to a repair store.

I think it is a totally screwed pedal.

It makes the loud humming noise even when i use an adapter for power.

for self help: try contact spray.

Or you can also try just removing the battery snap. it could be a short circuit there, also try cleaning the input and output jacks.

if you have some basic electronics knowledge you can trace the route and use a multimeter

To remove the battery snap, I will need to unsolder it right?
