Wonder why no one voted for the Sterling? It's just a smaller and lighter version of the Stingray with a thinner neck and an all new pre-amp. :?:

dual humbucking- i like Ibanez's SRX 700...

but what about the sound, as good as stingray?
and the *ahem*... price

Hmm... I haven't tried a Sterling personally but basically it's a 'younger' brother of the Stingray and the reviews that I've read have rated it highly giving credits to the thinner neck for better playability. Pricewise, it may just be 20-30 bucks more than the Stingray.

nah... just tried it many times in the shops, to test amps... 8)

if you fancy a humbucking tone, this one's above-average. IMO Ibanez should equip the RXs with Basslines like they do in the RDs...

cool, where can try sterling. i like thin necks

Sinamex brings in MusicMan but they don't keep stock, you have to place an order for it. I once saw a turqoise green Sterling with single hum some time back but couldn't try it coz it already had an owner.

An Aussie bassist who owns one told me that he preferred it to all his other basses. I wonder how true...

Any Sterling owners out there? Care to share?
