Hi peeps.
Thinking of forming a bass duo (trio max but let's start with 2) to write some original groove-orientated music.
Requirements:
1) know thy bass relatively well ...what 'relatively' means...well...
2) better to have a good ear than loads of theory or technical skill
3) strong interest in composition and varying styles...anyone doing original stuff will know that it's pretty damn hard (albeit fun) work...but at least we're not walking in anyone's shadow
4) do your homework and have a productive jam once a fortnight (ideally) or once in 3 weeks (when work/family commitments/other band jams gets in the way)
5) So as not to waste everyone's precious time...and to show that you are committed to this endeavour, send a sample or two of your original ideas to cheng_chin_yuen@hotmail.com and I'll get back to ya.
for the super-enthusiastic, you can call me at 98156992 and send your ideas live...that will be fun.
