bass recommendations for my genre

hi, i play bass in a band that plays alternative/indie/pop rock/rock n roll genre. I want to buy new a bass guitar. Currently, I'm most attracted to the Fender Jaguar bass. However, I'm not sure whether fender jaguar bass suits my genre. I need to hear some of your bass recommendations for my type of genre. If not suitable, please suggest another good brand. Thx! =)
