bass problem

hi everyone, im kinda new to the electronics of the bass. recently something happened to my bass. one of the knobs which adjust the tone kinda got really loose. i try tightening it but it got loose again its asthough something broke. on top of that it has stopped producing sounds but sometimes it does if the knob is stuck but when i move a little the sounds just stop producing. can someone help me to explain what has happen and i will appreciate suggestions on what should i do.. thank you

you should send it to a guitar workshop for repair.

had the same problem,go to ranking sport and change the knob

The pot is probably corroded. You will have to change the part. Best thing to do is to send it to a guitar workshop. I recommend TY music.

will it be expensive? kinda my first bass so it has high emotional value to be left spoilt but yet again tight pocket. anyway thanks everyone for the help

the pots are cheap around 20-30 bucks. check with TYMC they got parts for those type of things
