pump in another 25bucks. davis has one at 225, supposed to entry level, but quite a solid bass for 225.

that bass is perhaps SAMICK's Fairlane model (depicted below), which gets my thumbs up. a wonderful bass & not even $250. the fact that it features an alder body, it nails the classic jazz bass vibe better 8)

if u mean the Sx bass package ?

i seriouslly DONT recommend it ... the neck is terrible. sound wise is OK pretty decent but build quality wise its terrible

2 major diss me offs about the Sx starter bass package kits

(1) very rough neck , not finished well, REALLY uncomfortable to play
(2) the nut was sharp , pricking my fingers everytime i played notes on the first fret

get a tgm one lah i think if you buy together wif amp shd b ard 250++?? i got mine ard tht price?and the quality i think shd be defintely better thn the sx ones.

i double second the samick ! lol

btw brother sub .. is tt particular samick a greg bennet designed model ?

The TGM bass is cheaper and in a more sleek and worthwhile package. The body is slightly smaller and it also spots a J+J pickup config. Recent batches have vast improvement on the neck. Early models neck are not as well made.

The only drawback is that now the TGM is out of stock from the distributor, I just sold my last piece this week. So if you see a good deal in a shop which still have the stock, it's quite worth the money.

Samick has always produced guitars which are quite ok quality, so if you don't mind the more traditional look, it's also a good buy.

yes it is. i'm only content with the GB designed Samicks, the previous generation are really ones to avoid...
