Basic drum set

Hi guys! I'm going to be learning drum soon so i'm just wondering if i were to get a basic drum set, is pearl rhythm traveler ok? =o
More options are welcome! ^^

For home practice, RT is good when there is limited space at home. Carlos is another option if you have bigger space. Any kit above these two, is a luxury and overpowering. If you have spare cash, you can get a decent cymbal set for less than $300. The cymbal comes with RT and Carlos really cannot cannot make it.

Hey thanks for the reply~ =)
I see. Then i think i shall get RT after I've learned most of the basics i need to know. XD

@drum_hobbyist - possible to get decent cymbal set under $300?where?
The cheapest i noe is the meinl hcs set at ranking for ard 350

Meinl HCS cymbal set is now retailed at $273. I believe this is due to the strong Sing $. Previously it was about $280 after discount.

Hi shunzuki, i think that the pearl rhythm traveller would be great enough, it has almost everything that u need to get started, even with rubber cymbals and mesh heads! on top of that, the hardware that they provide are quite decent, just that you would need to buy an extra cymbal stand from swee lee and an drum throne :)

Hey thanks for the reply! Alright I'm definitely going to get Pearl's RT in March or April~ =)
Yeah i liked the rubber cymbals and mesh heads for practicing, hehe.
There's not enough cymbal stand in the set?

The set comes with a straight cymbal stand, which enables to put ur ride on it, but u might find the need to purchase an extra cymbal stand for the crash cymbal :)

MY first (and only) drumset is the pearl rhythm drumset! Hahaha welcome to the club =). Its a really decent set to play on and up till now I have absolutely no regrets cus its really light and portable (i can shift everything from my living room to my bedroom in less than 5 minutes) and it comes with mesh heads, but some say that the mesh heads will affect your drumming skills in the long run because they have an immense sense of rebound compared to normal heads.
