Barring

Hi , Im a newbie in guitar ( for few weeks ) and I've been trying to bar for a week now and it doesn't seem to work for me. I applied alot of pressure on my finger to bar the fret to play the chord but only a few strings could be heard, mainly the E , B and e string. Any tips?

Barre chord? if it is, make sure your index finger that is applying the pressure, is not pressing the fret, be very close to the fret but not on the fret.. if not there won't be sound but instead muted sound

Yea barre/barring of chords. I applied tons of pressure close to the fret but only 3 strings could be heard.

I had that problem also in the past like 7 yrs ago when i started learning guitar..
try to shift the position abit .. backwards?

hmm, maybe you can just try to press the barre with your index only, without other fingers there, then give it a strum, or pick it, to hear the sound..
then maybe you can try to improve from there.. the distance that you're comfortable with, or maybe the pressure ? :)

hope it helps, try it out

Just keep training your finger strength through chord transition, at times your action may be too high until its super uncomfortable, thats when you need to send it for a setup to lower the action if you don't know how to do it yourself. Try barring the chords closer to the fret wires, makes it easier :)
