backing track: any software able to do it?

what kind of software allows you to minus off an instrument from a track?
example, vocal- for karoake,
guitar - for guitarist?

audacity is one i can think of.
theres alot but

Gimme the song name and I'll do it for you for free. I'm using a midi software, but don't expect the original band or singer playing it lah. What I'll do from midi, minus off any track you want and then convert it to MP3 format. 1 or 2 song, no problemo for fellow softies...not too much of a hassle. Hehehe!!

no such technology so far.

i think he wants to have a software that can edit away parts/instruments/voices as he wish.
rearranging the entire song esp in MIDI might not be what he's looking for.

answer to the question is, there is no software or technology that can successfully remove any part or instrument from a track. how they do it in the earlier ktv days is using phase to cancel the lead vocals out, but also not totally.
