Hmmmm anyone into Asian metal? Bands like Chthonic, Anthelion, Seraphim, Oathen etc?

I think Asia has lots of great potential in the international metal scene and I won't be surprised that one day Asia will be the next Scandinavia in heavy metal music.

i think japan has a pretty decent metal scene. not in singapore/malaysia though. never really heard of breakthrough bands besides rudra. whos songs are bloody rare. still searching.

i like metal from asia, but then the scene in singapore is still quite weak, and i feel that asian metal should have its own sound and identity, something like the "swedish" or "norweigian" sound, but NOT ripping off from it. SIngapore should have more large scale metal shows, to expose more people into metal, perhaps an asian metal fest?
