if yes... please state whats your band name.
if you have more then one please state as well ... interested to know if there are people with more then one band. and how they cope? esp if the bands play very different genres...

for me is --- pizzaz ( funk rnb soul )
Lze fier ( chinese pop rock )
UAN-avalon project rock band ( experimental genre )

some one asked me a very good question. if one of them were to get more attention, would i still be able to commit fully to the other two?

wah basket and u din tell me tt u are in lzefier liao.

sneaky chan min. always up to something huh.

eh ... biang must report ah ..

anyway the bands kinda reforming.. ( no thanks to sly ) but the songs are quite catchy la.. simple poppy tunes.. happy stuff

rememeber got one time theres this girl RockPiano... asking for people to audition? UAN = united artist's network i think ... avalon is a small talent management company i suppose... really dunno much .. im just there to play some guitar ...

any of you guys have multiple bands?

My situation is not really in 'multiple bands' category.

I play in a band as guitarist/vocals, which is challenging because I have to sing and play lead (the only guitarist in the band). I also do a little side project as a solo acoustic player/singer-songwriter.

I tend to put more effort in the solo one (partly because it's so easy to collaborate with yourself). But if one of them ever were able to go up to another level, I think it's of course I'll concentrate more on that particular side.

Well.. my advice is , focus on one. I had members who were in multiple bands and had trouble putting in enough of his commitments. Besides, the few reasons why people join more than one band is because of genre difference and hoping for either one to 'make-it'. Why not get down on one serious band and start writing?

Chanmin : you mean we have to audition for that Avalon? I still have no idea what's that.. hehe

wrt to the original question..hmm imho, no. strictly speaking if one was in more than one band, it would already be impossible to "fully commit" to any one side. but i suppose it would largely depend on what each band sets out to do. eg. if 1 band wants to be seen and known and actively gigging and recording while another is laidback and jam-for-fun type then still ok. if all of them wana go out there and make a name for themselves, thats where the problem of limited resources (time, energy, $$ etc) come in. :?

yo chan chan... haha.. i am in mutiple bands too.. how u gotta handle in this kinda situation.... is to see which pple are really serious in their music... and most importantly wat kinda music u are really into.. now i am in Audio insanity, and a prog band seventh degree.. and i am forming another band with a fren of mine.. whu i think most pple noe him.. and yea.. the question is.. what do u really want out of a band... for me.. i am seeking pple of the same goal and desire to work together towards tht goal.. and i am seeking for serious musician whu wants to make music their thing.. so u gotta ask urself man..

er i dunno man someone gave kenn ( the band boss ) my number..then he call me ask me audition lo... i was like thinking about the possibilities... all the 13yr old girls i can ever desire....

nope honestly i never buy anything from G77 before... i want to ... but nothing really spoke to me... except for a closet custom shop strat.... but its like $4000 wtf... but the tone... wah lan eh... to die for.

for the gig im not sure man ... when is it? im aware got some gig but i dunno where and when.

Commitment

I tink its beta to just concentrate in one band.

It helps you to stay focus in your genre & improve as well.
