Hi fellow softies, i've been hanging out in this forum for quite awhile now.
And I think it's about time I get some info from fellow musicians here about little singapore.
Living in a small country 2hrs away from Singapore called Brunei. Not sure if most of you would know where it is.

I'm setting my sights on studying in singapore for the next few years. As I am currently taking Cambridge GCE O Levels this year, I was wondering about the requirements for an entry to SP? Am really interested in their business courses. I don't really understand all the digits used to grade in singapore.

Any SPers here caring to share your courses and how'd you manage to get in with what kind of O results? Thanks and hope to get your replies.

I'm in Biomedical Science.

Need to score at least 9 points for L1R4(L1R2B2), the lower points the better.
I went in with raw score of 10, with cca bonus, making it 8 points.
Barely made into my course...

Each grade has different points.
A1=1
A2=2
B3=3
B4=4
C5=5
C6=6 and so on...

For admission into poly, u use L1R4. Some courses specify the grades for required subjects(eg. E.maths must score at least B3). I'm not really sure which subjects are taken into consideration for L1R4, but i tihnk its English, E.maths, 1 Science, 2 other Best subjects.(others pls clarify).
So for eg.
English A1, Chemistry B3, E.maths A1, Combined Humanities A2(best subject), History B3(best subject)
With these grades u get 10 points for L1R4.

Wow ocean, your quick!

So it's basically your top 5 subjects with required subjects included right?

And lets say if you get 1 or 2 points more than you can't take that course?

Am I right?

Not top 5 subjects.

English is a must.

The other 4 subjects will depend on the course you are applying. As i said, some courses require certain grades for specific subjects.

I'm in SP too. But I get in not based on my 'O' level result... The best thing is, u can check SP's website, www.sp.edu.sg .U can check on the particular course that u are interested and see the cut-off point...
