I've had an injury in my left shoulder when I was young, when I play e.guitar standing up,it aches quickly. Is there any special strap or whatever that will help to lessen the strain or redistribute the weight on my left shoulder available in SG?

Pier.

I hear you... i got a broken back from NS.

Short of getting some ash bodied axe or an Ibanez S series 8) , you must get a very wide and padded strap.

PM Edo83 abt where to get 1, he got a damn thick and wide leather strap for his strat.

i've seen online a special kinda guitar strap that looks like a bra

its supposed to distribute the weight evenly between both shoulders. not sure if you'd wanna wear a strap like that, but it does what you want it to do, which is to lighten the load on ur weak shoulder.

cant recall what the name of this product is though...

Dimarzio cliplocks feel more comfy than those kapok straps you buy, and to me, my when strapped on, my guitar feels weightless.

i found the bra-like double straps

You'll feel better but look like a cock haha

ShredCow is right. Wide and padded straps is the nearest solution. Or just sit down and play like shawn lane.

Oh yeah, also maintain good posture, some people have distorted backbone curvature, make sure its neutral, the body will hold weight most comfortably that way, wont hurt too.

Yeah, it looks darn awful! :p

What's the difference between Dimarzio clip locks and normal straps?

The Dimarzio clip locks are well, IMO, the best locking strap system... dead quite and it will never come out, unless you rip it out the help of a couple of friends. :) I mean, Vai prances around the stage with them.

Go to www.dimarzio.com you can check them out there.

They aren't very wide actually... and they can't be shortened to a jazz guitarist height, quite long.

Well its just so smooth, the strap just glides. And remember that poking, intrusive feeling u get after the guitar hangs around for some time, I don't get it anymore, its just so comfortable, sometimes I wonder if my guitar is strapped on or not.

dude, where to get dimarzio cliplok. everytime i go down to sweelee all they have are the weird colourd ones. i just want plain black. anywhere else sell em?
