Anyone tried the Vox Virage guitar?

I've tried it. Its very loud and resonant, so much so that I thought that the amp was on despite it being off. Fit, finish and construction are good, and the pickups do give a good range of tones.

However, I wouldn't plonk down the 3.7k or so on one. With the new Duncan P-Rails, I could just get a comparable Japanese guitar (eg Tokai/Edwards 335), install the P-Rails and have the same thing for about 2k odd.

Hmmm i think it will end up less than 2k if u r going the jap guitar + prails route bro, all the better ha!

So you saying that it doesn't worth the money? I was quite interested with it when I went to citymusic the last time. But was quite surprised when I see the price tag. I was expecting a Hamer/hi end epiphone kind of price tag. How does it play compare to PRS/Gibson standard?

Yes. I agree with you. But I guess is pretty normal for a person to gauge his expectation according to the price tag. You won't be buying a 4k worth of guitar just to find out that it was made in China with plywood body and generic pickups(Not referring to any guitar). I just really curious to know whether the sound/feel does justify the price
