Hey guys, just wondering if any of you guys have tried the SD 59/Custom hybrid pickup yet? I'm thinking of giving it a try but wanna hear what you guys have to say first. Thinking of putting this in my j.custom which had a mahogany body, flamed maple top, maple neck and rosewood fingerboard. Tone wise, I'm thinking along the line of Guthrie Govan's tone in 'Sweaty Knockers' by the Aristocats as well as Nuno's tight ass tone from his III sides to every story album.
What do you guys think? Any other recommendations? My other choice would be a Modern vintage pup from Manlius pups.
