Anyone tried Dimarzio Super 2 before?

i did. it's very much like a Distortion but it's tailored for the neck. if you wish for a bridge model instead, you should be getting a Super 3. please note that these pickups are now strictly custom shop models, the ones you find in the stores are probably leftovers since 2001- no kidding, that's when i got mine (together with the Megadrive model)...

is there any neck pickup dats more modern sounding..but has more mids and highs?

unlike the Distortion, the Super 2 complements the smooth, inherent, polished midrange that we often hear from neck pickups. since you like the Super D in the bridge already, looks like a neck version would be the best pairing.

otherwise, the Breed neck would be a highly recommended pickup in the neck. it virtually complements any bridge pickup, high output or otherwise.
