Find nigel.. he'll explain more. he sells replacement tips too. I used a friend's joey jordison's signature sticks before, pretty heavy, but considered very light for its durable reinforced material. Try one out.. it doesnt hurt man.. its only 60+ bux.. work 5-6 hours can cover back liaoz. hehehe..

haha yup nigel sells quite a range of ahead sticks. however i'll stick to wood hundred percent though =) just my opinion. my ahead sticks are in the store room now.

that is a ripoff man... i'd rather wear an underwear on my head and attach moving disco lamp or something. lol.. hahaha... i ever did something cool.. i went to spotlight, and bought this tin of spray on glow in the dark coating, and did it to a pair of sticks. then at 4am, i switched off all the lights and played on my pillow. COOL.

1 pair 65 for regulars, and 68 for signature. I said i lost ONE STICK which cost me 30 + bucks.. haha.. excuse me for the bold, but i'm not undermining you or anything. I use 7A for lighter playing, fast and intricate playing, while i use 5A for live concerts or songs which utilises simple notes and easy playing, but could use that good accent and volume. Hope that helps. Cechk out my kit too..

i have to say that ahead's really good. especially for hard hitters who keep breaking sticks. am using joey now. pretty great.

I personally own a pair of the regular Ahead 7As, i used it quite alot in the beginning during my rehearsals for a gig, but i never made it to use them throughout the actual gig.

Being non-wood sticks, they are stiffer when comes to feel, so when trying to play with various dynamics, they just felt so weird in my hands. But when playing heart thumping grooves, they are great!

Harsh on the cymbals too. Guess i am not much of a hard rock player pounding the fats out of me. hehehehe

Yup its been improving ever since I started lessons. Mark’s teaching is rather effective and he’s a great player himself. I’ll just have to practice more haha. Oh yea and I just wanted to find out how much it was to book the studio for an hour since i was around the area.
