Anyone know where to buy this?

That's a Zildjian bag. Perhaps you can try asking Yamaha if they can bring it in for you?

Protection Racket has backpack style bags too.

Nigel brings them in. Try dropping by Drum Resources to ask if he can bring it in for you. Oh I remember I saw a Zildjian backpack bag there some time bag. Different design from the one you asked for, but no harm checking it out :)

Mel, how's the PR holding up? I'm seriously considering buying the 24" with back straps again since I've got two 24" rides I really dig now. The only thing that's holding me back are the fleece sleeves.

i'm looking for that bag too. doesn't have to be zildjian, but one that's like a bagpack.

so retardeddrummer, any luck finding anything like that?

or why not just order straight from the website using vpost? at most will cost you about 100+ to ship it in. which i suspect would be the same price as asking yamaha to bring it in (and a bit more)

Hi, there's another brand brought in by Citymusic - Mono cymbal bag. It has back straps too.

http://www.monocase.com/mono-cymbals.asp

It looks not bad, but I haven't heard any reviews on it from pple here. The last time I asked (maybe in May/June?), it was going for $140. I'm still deciding btw the Paiste, Protection Racket and Mono...

Any advice?

I think weckl-x first introduced the Mono bags here. Can't go wrong if weckl-x introduces it. Price is right, too.

I think the Paiste's going for $130 at Music Theme (The last time I checked). I've got two of those and they're pretty awesome.

If Monos came in 24", I would grab one.

Love the PR bag to bits man. I bring it around all the time. Tough and sturdy. By far, the bags with the best stitching. Any bag that can hold the amount of cymbals and attachments I bring is a good bag! lol

The Mono bags look good. But I think it'd be good to personally go down and check out the stitching of the bag in detail. That is the main thing that seperates a good cymbal bag from a half-past-six bag.

city music has one

yup Mono.. and it was on sale for $140+. i cant recall.. thought of getting that.. but hey not enough funds to get an ex cymbal bag Yet.. lol

cheers.

haha. no luck finding any backpack cymbal bag. but the mono looks good mannnnnn!!!! hahaha. but yea abit too ex ah. mine the sabian velvet one. if only a store could sew in straps. but then again, i scared not sturdy. bag drop ah, the cymbals inside also got a risk!

If you're not too particular on the brand, I'd really recommend the Paiste cymbal bag. Its a sturdy one, and most importantly its very comfortable carrying on your back as cymbals are pretty heavy.

I bought mine from Ranking, they sell it there for about $125 (not sure if price rise), but with some bargain I think they can drop it to about 120.

I think Ranking upped the price to $135 or even $140 now. But yeah, you can try asking for a slight discount, if you're a regular-enough customer there.

But yeah, you can't go wrong with the Paiste. Not the biggest fan of the dividers though.

i'm using this zildjian cymbal bagpack. Got it in Hong Kong Tom Lee... Not expensive at all... about SG$70plus bucks. Forget it if you intend to as Yamaha to order. They will not do it for you. I asked them before and they told me this model they don't bring in... ask them to special they say cannot. As them how come... U are the distributor for zildjian right???? They told me... its like that wan. bunch of fools! I hope this information helps... So remember, Kowloon Tom Lee...

After getting a double slip-disc in 2006, I stopped using those back-pack cymbal bags now....go get one of the Meinl cymbal bags on wheels! About the same price as the Paiste bags anyway....

Once you have back problems, it does some crazy stuff to your leg work.....so, drummers, watch your backs!!

woah back problems eh. im more for the bag than the wheels. yeap. dont carry much cymbals with me anyway:) thanks for all the info guys!

Another way is to get a bag with backpack and also get one of those luggage trolleys. That way, you can still have wheels when you have lots of cymbals to bring for gigs.

I don't bring as many stuff when jamming so I just carry the bag as a backpack. I don't want to always have to hop on a cab when traveling. I only use the trolley when I bring more stuff for recording or gigs. At least that's what works for me :)
