I use a Chopper T in my rojak J&D modded to hell tele. Nice treble bite and enough mids/lows too for more chunky stuff. Playing prog rock and post-rock mainly, but even recorded everything from jazz to metal with it. Split coil can get twangy depending on your picking style.
Would consider this over the Tone Zone T if you need a wider variety of sounds. Tone Zones are aimed squarely at the heavier sound, but IMO it's easier to use pedals to turn a more traditional tele pup into a monster than the other way around, trying to get some nice cleans out of a very high output and bass-heavy pup.
