I wasn’t a fan, but a few months ago I was at an Electrico acoustic gig and they did Champagne Supanova, I got a connection to the song, bought the album and now I am into Oasis, not in a big way but I am working my way through their catalog. Its weird how covers can you bring you to an original sometimes.

I love Oasis too, especially their previous albums. The new album sounded good though but I didn't buy it.

"Don't Look Back in Anger" and "Stand By Me" are my all-time fav. Whats your take?

well, first music that i ever heard and was aware of the existance of a guitarist was oasis, many years back when i was in primary school ( or sec1, cant rmb which ) i must say i got hooked on their old songs, the aforementioned champagne supernova, don't look back in anger, stand by me. i also liked wonderwall. imho, their older songs are better ^^

I dont mind them, a few songs are really good. one of my friends is absolutely obbsessed with them and is flying to Sydney to see them.

My other Oasis story was some guy broke into the track announcer’s tower at the horse races in Melbourne and sang an acapella (naturally) version of Wonderwall over the track PA. It was a fairly big meeting so quite a few thousand were there. The radio station who broadcast the races recorded it and broadcast it as well. He was drunk, and got arrested but it wasn’t a bad effort.

Now every time I hear the song I smile and think long live rock n roll.

i like oasis as well..but personally the last 2 albums didn't do it for me...though i liked 'little james' alot....ehehehe...
