any Gypsy jazz player here?

Hi guys,

I'm new to guitar and this forum. I want to ask to play Gypsy Jazz, do I need this particular guitar selmer-Maccaferri or there is subsitution? Pls do advice, becoz this is my 1st time play music so know nuts about it.
