Any band can help! live studio recording

Hi I'm a diploma student in music production. Calling out to all bands whose interested in a live studio recording experience. 3 original songs, actual recording in April, + a jamming session by next Tuesday.

3 sessions a few hours each (Mondays to Sundays) Vocalist part is taken care of already. Genre: pop+ballad/rock. language: universal as music is supposed to be. kidding. mostly songs with chinese lyrics.

ok beggars are not bargainers, but i do need a tight and responsible band members who wont mia at the last minute of recording. Will be given demos of the song so to know which direction we are heading for.

i dont get it. So, you someone to record your band or you want to record someone else's band?

to be specific, looking for drummer, bassist, keyboardist & guitarist to help play the accompaniment part for 3 original songs. Preferably they are a band who has been jamming frequently so the band is tight. One thing to note though, the recording will in a proper manner like how professional cds are recorded, step by step. The drummer and the bass player will jam their parts together first, followed by the keyboardist, guitarist, and then the vocalist etc.

the studio is well equipped. Musicians only need to bring guitar and drum sticks. There will be producer and sound engineer on the spot too. Subsequently there will be EQ, reverb, mixing and special effects added to the instrumental tracks and voice. The aim is to get the recording to be close to what one will hear from a professionally recorded cd.

So if you'll like to be a part of a music production (however small scale it is at this point), pls pm me. Who knows it will lead to further opportunities.

one thing though. There isnt a budget for this production, so wont be able to pay the musicians. but can treat kopi lah (hee hee, cheapo) , and likely, a copy of the final product to add to your port folio.

I dont think its a norm for bass and drums to be recorded at the same time.

Anyway i was quite misled by your description. Originally thought u wanted a band which already has 3 original songs for you to record, but later when u mention the vocalist has been settled i was like 'huh?'

Good luck for your search but i think it will be tough since the band has to play what you guys have penned down.

you could try asking among your close friends, but outside that you're not going to find anybody particularly good who's willing to do it.

Great to know you'll like to get involved in local music scene and proactively doing so. I'm like a musician (keyboardist, learning guitar n drums) in my tiny hut too, writing songs and wishing to get out and do more, but w/o much action, still ends up in comfort zone. That is till this project came and it hits me the network is not enough...

SOS! Last call for musicians for live studio recording

Need bassist, guitarist keyboardist for 3 live studio recordings in April + 1 (or 2) jamming sessions. Yes volunteers will be helping out for kopi really, the only thing i can offer you is a live studio experience, + a portfolio to add to your current work.

There are already 5 team members who's committed to make the whole production work. 1xdrummer, 1xproducer, 2xsound engineer and 1 vocalist cum lyricist. Need 3 more to add to the production team.

You'll be provided demos of the song. Just need volunteers to familiarize with the song and their instrumental parts, be present for the jamming and 3 recording sessions.

yup! the songs are with chinese words, cos only manage to find a lyricst who writes chinese and not other languages: english, malay, japanese, spanish, italian, cantonese, tagalog, thai, latin, though would love to do that. One of the songs was particulary suitable for jap.
