Hey softies,

I've been trying to get a Blues Jr or maybe the tweed version from musician's friend. after some research and i have come up with some steps on how to get the amp to Singapore.

1) secure checkout the amp and decline "gold coverage"

2) under shipping address

-First Name: Nicholas
-Last Name: Wong
-Address: (my VP Code followed by my name)
2960 East Victoria Street
-City: Compton
-Country: America
-State: California
-Zip Code:90221
-Billing Phone: (310)-762-1340
-Alternate Phone: (my hp in case)

3) email the invoice to v post Customer service

4) get the blues junior when it arrives and pay with UOB for 20% off delivery!

I'm kind of new at this kind of overseas imports and i'm quite scared that something may go wrong (i'm a traditional person:P).
Any kind Softie can point out if i missed out anything or tips from their experiences it would be greatly greatly appreciated!!

hope nothing's wrong I'm gonna order probably tonight! wish me luck! :p

thanks,

Nick

yeah i dont get this order online thing either. heh. do we need to pay by credit card or can by other means? the US address must be a valid one? how does this go about?

what i know is above. and should be correct. just need to make sure if i missed anything.

anyway, i forgot that their amps need transformers as our voltages are different. aiyah...

trasformer just get it locally, but shipping in an amp.. probably you wont save much.. this amp is heavy.. plus anything goes wrong you have to ship it back to states as the 5 years warranty only applies in states. I might be wrong, you might save alot.. let me know cause im thinking of getting one rare amp from states too.. of yeah singapore customs will tax you anything above sgd400, maybe you could ask the seller to tag it as a gift? might help? Btw, if youre going to get the blues junior.. try and get the limited edition... at least its worth the effort, plus blues junior you can just get it off from shops in singapore.

yea uob 20% off lei shipping is 90 sing.

yea i forgot to check the taxes! how careless. thanks Eric and your patience:p!

90 sgd for Blues Junior? You sure? The other day i ship one pedal back already cost me 41USD.. thats using their local USPS.. not vpost lar. If its so cheap.. think wanna get my dream amp also ler.. let me know after you buy one k? Btw, the tweed is a nice amp.. wont regret it... after much consideration.. im keeping mine. :)

here's the cost of vpost usa:

Category 1. Others
$12.40 + $8.60 per kg thereafter
(Based on Volumetric weight1 or Actual weight, whichever is higher.)
Category 2. Magazine
Using Magazine Prepayment Service

So tweed amp 14kg. about 120sing.
minus 20% due to uob about 90+sing right? :S

I got to know this from the sales guy in Oregon when I emailed him about some DWs I wanted. Try emailing the companies you're ordering from before purchasing. Then you'll learn more. Don't just jump in blind.
