i already have a VOX pathfinder 15r and i want an upgrade. should i take the Fender Frontman 25r? is it worth the upgrade ? need something that sounds good with a strat and able to play a lot of blues stuff.

i dunno your needs, why do you choose the Frontman 25R? are your considerations based on a working budget?

amps, just like guitars, are hits & misses. nevermind the noble brand name, sometimes these are just not for us after trying them in person. some queries before proceeding:

*are you staying with solidstate or looking up to a tube unit?
*any preferred brand names?
*any budget limitations?

- what do you think is lacking in the vox?
- do you want ur overdrive from the amp or pedal?
- budget?

im an owner of the vox amp just like you, and dont think the fender is considered an upgrade.

I am a Pathfinder user too. For me, an upgrade would be getting a tube amp like a Blackstar HT-5.
