Amp testing

I'm going to place my order for a vox av4tv soon and I was just wondering what do you do when you want to test the capability of the amp? It's my first amp so i need so advice.

u already decided to order it, but u have not test it? i thought its usually test and order.

the ac4tv is easiest to test. try all settings with all pickup configurations straight to amp, or if u consider stacking with ur drive pedal, bring it along to test.
