Hi, I'm stuck between these two models of digital mixers.

Alesis MultiMix 8 USB
Alesis MultiMix 8 FireWire

AND

M-Audio Fast Track Pro
M-Audio Fast Track Ultra

Can anyone tell me the pros and cons of both ?
Or if best, explain to me like Alesis VS M-Audio way :)
Alesis comes with Cubase 4 and M-Audio interfaces comes with Ableton.

I'm so stuck between these two.
Anybody have experiences on both of these products please help me out !

Thanks!

hey Buddy...
as far as im concern.. M-Audio products is compatible with almost all DAW ( Digital Audio Workstation ).. Cos M-audio is a division of digidesign and Pro tools came from the same company.. as u might heard Pro tools is the Industry Standard in DAW although me myself recordin usin Apple's Logic Pro 8... i've tried Ableton, Cubase & Logic.. but out of the 3.. Logic is the most User friendly.. and not to mention, They catching up Protools to to be the leader of DAW.. Pro tools just released the M-powered 8 for home based recording.. as for Alesis, if u lookin for a Studio Monitor below the range of $500.. go for the monitor cos i've done some test between the M-audio & alesis monitors and the Alesis m1 Active is far more superior then the lower range M-audio speakers.. But The M-audio ex 66 is a killer if u lookin for a true Monitor.. and yeah as for Audio interface, if u have extra bucks.. go for a FIREWIRE ones rather then USB interface... and i prefer u get the M-audio Pro fire 2626 at Sinamex.. months ago they offering me at $990.. actual price is bout $1000+... go check them out..

I went to sinamex already, checked some of the products there.
I'm thinking if I get the PreSonus firebox, I can get an analog mixer, most likely Mackee, and run through the interface if I wanna use software from computer. And I can also use this analog mixer if I do not wanna turn on my computer :)

for a start, acoustic guitar and vocals.
Adding in abit of electric guitars and bass too...
Well, more to add in soon...
