Hey fellow soft-ies.. I'm heading to Peninsula this week to get a distortion pedal.. And i've got these few pedals in mind.. Beta Aivin HM-200, Biyang Max Dist, Danelectro Cool Cat Metal.. I only know that these pedals are not over the tight budget i'm in which is less than a hundred bucks..

So i was hoping u guys could recommend me more options that are available..?? My requirements of the dist pedal would be being able to handle high gain, have a really great low end (ala. alter bridge, creed kinda tone) and also being great for solo-ing and lastly the pedal shld be something that i can gig with and not jus kept at home.. Thx alot guys!! :DD

one of the meanest, most affordable & much overlooked.

100 bucks can get you 3 or more Cool Cats if you look second hand. Get the Metal and either an Overdrive or Distortion to get a wide range of sounds from rhythm crunch to high gain solos.

I have only tried the Metal at bedroom levels. However, the Cool Cat series is worthy in my opinion. Have gigged with the Transparent Overdrive, Fuzz and Tremolo.

Anyway your amp will be a much bigger factor when at gigging volume. I'd say don't worry about the CC limiting you in any way.

guitar connection has lots of distortion pedals below $100. best part is, they might have some 2nd hand pedals which would broaden your choices.

HEY GUYS! thx for the input, appreciate it.. I've jus bought the cool cat metal 1 and it sounds FREAKIN AWESOME for its price which is $36 at davis... I'm really loving it right now and i see it being on my board for my future jams and gigs... Thx again guys! :D
