Active+Passive

I am wondering if there will b any complications if i fix an active pickup with a passive pickup in my guitar..

assuming the active pickups are EMGs, i guess complications will arise when you use the pot value made for the active pickups and mix it with a passive pickup. The output of the pickups may also be a mismatch, say if you intend to put an 81 in the bridge, it may end up louder than your passive neck pickup.

You'd have quite abit of a volume difference. Makes me wonder... Why not a Evo neck?

And of course yes, you'll need a special value of potentiometer for the EMG.
