action heights?

hellos guys, what's a sutiable action hight to be considered "low" my mexi 60th anni strat's bass side it's 3/32 and treble side is 2/32 but i feel it's a little high, but on my mongrel strat the action height is about the same as the mexi, but the action feels fine there. would it be due to the neck profile? i think the anni strat is a C while my mongrel is a D shaped thing. haha so a little help? heh

i would think along the lines of the neck relief..

i set mine at bass side 2/32...at treble side either 2/32 or 3/64 depending how i feel

heehee...my lp's action is very "low"...i think some softies can agree to that..

Check fretboard radius and relief. You need relief for low action, or it will be like climbing a hill as you move up the fretboard if your neck is perfectly straight. However, there only so low an action you can get with smaller fretboard radius before you start to fret out doing bends ie. the strings become choked.
