hi all..
gonna ask this.
howcome some acoustics are veri cheap but some cost a bomb?
i don't get it.
all of them are the same right?
they all produce an acoustic guitar sound.
i mean, unlike electric guitars where u can change the pickups, modify it and stuff, an acoustic is just an acoustic.
so why get one which is more expensive?

i have a net fren, and he juzz started on acoustic. he told me he got one which cost $300+. just plain old acoustic, not a semi. so i'm like, WTF?

So you think $300 is expensive?

according to my "financial status", OF COURSE dats expensive.
but maybe for some rich kids, it might just look like a buck.

Lol you haven't seen the prices of Taylors i suppose.

Well, its the same if you compare with electric guitar.

Gibson. = 3k.

Samick. = 150

Why the steep difference? Made in ...? Material ...? Quality....? And! The most important thing! "Name".

People buy expensive acoustic cause they sound different from those cheap ones, ever tried a taylor? Well i havent, i tried a Fender. It definitely sound different from a $100 TGM.

Reason why? The wood used? Many many funny wood names, one of them "Spruce Wood"... Well i study plywood in my secondary school only. Lol.

Mahogany, brazilian rosewood. Every little thing counts.

And yeah, 300 i dont think expensive. Lol

well , i own a $180 takamine G-series proudly made in INDONESIA. it sounds ...er.. bad.. compared to say one of those taylors in sinamex. those sound FANTASTIC... taylors sound so much better to my ears compared to Martins and ovations... beautiful acoustic sounds... man.. but its $3000 an up.... :(

chey...
i dunno they use diff types of wood to make an acoustic.
icic...
no wonder some acoustics are exp...

haizz...
haha, know why i say 300 is exp?
firstly, i cant even afford the cheapest electric value pack.
secondly, my acoustic tgm was a b'dae gift. haha..
aiyah, to me, a guitar is guitar, all the same...
thnx for the explanation...

dude i agree with u a guitar is a guitar. relax im a newbie man, lol not picking a fight or anything. even though guitar is a guitar, the 'play-ability' is another thing.

not say a 3k guit will be more playable than a 300 one but its just up to ur own preference.

relax man, 300 now is like 3k to me. and imagine 3k = what to me :(

haha well work man! im working part time in some cafe now to earn money for er pedals and guitars man. woohoo! LOL

my first acoustic guitar was a kapok. i still have it.haha.
as long as u can use it to practice ur fingering skills and technique..definitely something worth playing with. :)

hey newbie, chill dood...
haha... i think u imagined the wrong tone i used... :D

still skooling...

save money?
sori dood, i'm juzz not the kinda person...

$300 expensive?? I know a softie in here who has a Taylor acoustic guitar that costs US$2,600. And thats only the mid range. The high range is at about US$10,000.
