D'addario Phosphor Bronze for me. I also use Ernie Ball Earthwoods. They seem to sound great and add sustain too, and volume wise quite loud. But do note that Bronze and Phosphor bronze strings are brighter and louder than silk and steel strings so the alloy used matters too. For me, 80/20 is sometimes too bright, so Phosphor bronze is the perfect middle for me as of now.
People also say that thicker strings are louder and sound better but for some reaso I never experienced this. I've used 12s before and they didn't sound very noticeably different - just felt a bit more stiff. So just a note, the string gauge isn't the only factor. Note the alloy used for the strings as well, and possibly the material of the nut and saddle of your guitar.
Oh, and the strings I use always last a long time regardless of brand, mainly because I wipe my guitar strings with a dry cloth regularly and keep my guitars in their cases when I'm not playing for a long period of time. So yeah, it helps. But generally I find that Ernie balls and D'addarios last very long tone-wise.
