With a slight wiggle, the dovetail joint is loose and the jig pushes the neck out fairly easily.
The neck joint comes off clean.
The hide glue is removed with a chisel and the joints are sanded clean with a 'homemade' sanding stick.
Wood is removed from the heel of the neck to enable the neck pitch to be altered.
The neck is clamped to the body and left overnight.
An ebony dowel is made to fill up the hole drilled at the 15 fret
The dowel is glued in and after the fret is put back on, it will be hard to spot.
